Fun day at the Zoo!

Gay Lynn was wonderful enough to invite me to a girl's (and little one's) Zoo outing mid September. It was so wonderful to see everyone and how much the little one's have all grown. Its sad to see them not remembering me so much, but I am so grateful for the memories and for the invites to still be a part of their lives.

Braxton is so brave!

Cute girls!

Look at that smile!!!

California

Brett and I took a 4 day trip at the beginning of September to San Clemente, California for some fun and sun.

We ended up visiting a bunch of different beaches and eating dinner in San Diego. We ended up meeting up with Brett's brother Jaren and his wife Debra. Jaren sent a picture text to his family with him on the beach and the moon over the water with a "don't you wish you were here" type of deal....and Brett took a look at the picture, and the beach right behind us and the wheels started rolling! They were celebrating her parents Anniversary with her family on the same beach as we had wondered on the night before. It was really wonderful to get to meet them. They live in Colorado, so Brett doesn't get to see them very often, so that was perfect!

The water and overall weather was just perfect. I loved being in the waves with Brett near to make sure I didn't drowned!

So gorgeous! I saw a type of shark in the crest of a wave as I boogey-boarded one day! Other than a couple fish, that was about it!

We saw the cutest dog on the beach one day! Its called an Alaskan Klee Kai. An expensive little mini husky, but who knows....one day!

Last day on the Coast!

Talk about a good day. Sun on my face, sand in between my toes,
ocean wind in my hair, and my handsome man in my arms!

Mom, close your eyes!

Into the Mountains

Just being silly! Dating Brett has opened up a whole new world for me. He is such an outdoorsy guy, and I love it. This was taken on one of our many drives up numerous canyons. We actually got to the top of where you can park to go skiing and it snowed on us!!! In August?!!!

We thought it would be warm...it was in the 90* down in the valley...wow, we were wrong!

Statue Part 1

Lady Liberty

I have to admit, I have always wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty, and was really excited to be able to do this with my awesome family! It was really hard to be so close to New York. I was still having a really hard time knowing that a certain person lived right across the water from me. I tried my best not to think about it, but in July, the ache was still really fresh. My family did their best to keep my mind off of such things. Thanks guys!

My cute mom wanted to make sure we got the back version of her! No one really see's that!

I love you guys!! Thanks for such an awesome memory!

Statue part 2

On the boardwalk with the New York skyline behind us.Right to left: Aunt Margie, Momma, Uncle Billy, and myself!
(my leg hurt thats why I'm standing like an idiot! So there!)
Icky water, but pretty picture!

I love this tree line.

Ellis Island

We did'nt have enough time to properly tour Ellis Island,
but it was still really nice to see a piece of History.

Momma and I

Beautiful architecture...
Sweet Sally...

The whole of Ellis Island from the Ferry.

Ferry ride

No, we were not fighting and that is why everyone is setting in their own isle...and it isn't a question of BO...although...it was really sticky humid out....mmmmhhh....

Sad to say, but this is my first time on a Ferry! Someone needs to get out more! It was fun!

There she is! So awesome!!! I had really hoped that we could have enough time to do this. I lived for so long on the East...its nice to come back and do the Tourist thing!

And the New York Skyline...beautiful...you can see the gap at the far left where the Twin Towers used to stand...very humbling...

Momma and Me!!! I love you so much mom!!! I loved getting to see you again and actually hug you!!!
